Intellectual difficulty is not specific, it refers to a diverse group of people with various difficulties. People with intellectual disabilities often need more additional support, because of problems in learning and adaptation.

The JBN does not think that it is necessary to examine intellectual disabilities by jutsuke when running a recreational level of training. Note that the judoka has high difficulties in learning and supervision needs of life and work is enough.

Furthermore, it was found that persons with intellectual disabilities are very loyal to their sport, for example Koene Dick, who was active in judo for more than 30 years, although its relatively high age of 59, he is still practicing 3 times a week. Dick is a unique person, but not within the exception Judo for the disabled.

Some guidelines concerning education of people with intellectual disabilities:

  1. This target group is by far the largest group within Ju Jutsukas and judokas for people with special needs, so it is necessary to be included and the persons competent to work with this population,
  2. Generalizations should be prevented, because there is enormous diversity among people with intellectual disabilities,
  3. In most of the basic learning techniques, which can be executed properly Kansetsu, Sime and sutemi-waza are generally not included in the program,
  4. Problems with concentration can occur in people with intellectual disabilities, and people often dependent on your training partner,
  5. Techniques should be explained on the mother tongue, briefly and without much detail that might confuse and deconcetrate people with learning disabilities.

Benefit from the training it Jitsu and Judokas were multiple significant for a person to go through training and achieves:
